I am a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker, psychotherapist, and mental performance coach currently practicing in the New York area. I focus on individual psychotherapy for adults navigating issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship issues, and stage of life transitions. I graduated with an MSW with an emphasis on adult mental health and wellness from the University of Southern California. While completing my degree, I also earned two additional graduate certificates in substance abuse and addiction in social work and advanced clinical social work practice. I have extensive training in clinical interventions such as active listening, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic education, and problem solving therapy. I bring a warm, open, and personalized approach to clients that makes them feel safe and able to express themselves during sessions. I am highly seasoned in using cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. I help clients improve well-being and foster personal growth by developing self-confidence, creating consistency in behavioral processes, increasing self-awareness, and building better relationships. I do not expect my clients to give me their trust, I expect to earn it. I work hard to ensure my clients receive the tailored experience they need to have faith in my ability to help them succeed and prioritize their goals. I have a deep sense of empathy for my clients and understand what it is like to grapple with both long term challenges and moments of crisis. I look at every client experience as a shared journey and believe that everyone is capable of healing, recovery, growth, satisfaction, and discovery in life. Prior to my career in mental health counseling, I was a visual designer and communications professional at various publishing houses in New York City. I earned a bachelor's degree in creative writing from Kenyon College, a master's degree in communication, culture, and technology from Georgetown University, attended the Columbia Publishing Course, and earned a professional certificate in graphic and digital design from Parsons School of Design. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy creative writing, studio art, going to museums, documentaries, pilates classes, and spending time with friends and family.

Yes, I can incorporate homework, exercises, or readings, especially since my primary modality is CBT, which often benefits from practicing skills outside of session. Many clients appreciate having something tangible to reflect on or try between appointments, as it can deepen insight and build momentum. That said, I will never push you to do something you are not comfortable with or not ready for. Therapy is collaborative, and we move at your pace. If structured activities feel supportive, we will use them. If you prefer a more process-oriented approach, that is equally valid. The work should feel empowering, not pressured.
Our relationship is intentionally different because it is designed entirely around you. Unlike friendships or family relationships, there is no expectation of reciprocity, caretaking, or managing my feelings. You do not have to filter yourself, protect me, or worry about being too much. At the same time, it will still feel human and connected. I bring warmth, openness, and authenticity into the room, but with clear boundaries that create safety. Therapy is a space where the focus remains consistently on your growth, your patterns, and your goals, in a way that everyday relationships often cannot provide.
I lost both of my parents before I turned 30 and, in the wake of such tragedy, decided to dedicate my career to improving the lives of others through both clinical and personal experiences. I have had my own struggles with loss, grief, anxiety, depression, body image and perfectionism and can truly empathize with my clients. I am endlessly grateful for how much support I have received in my life and feel a great sense of responsibility to support people in a similar way.
I am truly an open book. While our work is always centered on you, I believe that appropriate self-disclosure can strengthen connection, normalize experiences, and make therapy feel more human and less clinical. I love engaging in real, thoughtful conversation and think that, when utilized properly, transparency can build trust and help people feel more accepted and embraced for exactly who they are.
