Hi, I'm Debbie! I know that starting therapy or finding a new therapist can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not exactly sure where to begin. My hope is that from our very first conversation, I can help guide you through this process while ensuring you feel safe and supported. My approach to therapy is warm, inviting, safe, collaborative, and empathetic. I value creating a space where you can be yourself without any pressure or judgment. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York and have experience working with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, crisis, life transitions, and more. Many of the people I work with feel stuck and are seeking both understanding and useful tools to help them move through their challenges one step at a time. I draw from various evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, and ACT, while integrating trauma-informed care to build insight, empowerment, understanding, and tools for coping and healing. Because no two people are the same, I carefully tailor my approach to each person I work with. My goal as your therapist is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing and why, so things can feel less confusing and more manageable. Together, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while staying focused on what matters most to you! If you feel like I may be a good fit for you, I invite you to schedule a consultation where we can connect and get to know each other a bit better. I look forward to hearing from you! 😊

Aside from completing the necessary paperwork, all I ask is that you bring your full, authentic self. I want this process to benefit you to its fullest, and I hope to gain a deep understanding of who you are and how I can best support you!
While friendships and relationships with loved ones are incredibly valuable, therapy is a bit different. In therapy, I provide a confidential, non-judgmental, and unbiased space that is fully dedicated to your growth and well-being. Here, you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely, gain insight, and develop tools to navigate challenges in a way that friends and loved ones may not be able to offer.
