Message from Dina

Hi! I’m Dina and am honored that you are taking time to consider working with me. As a seasoned therapist with more than seven years of direct practice experience, I understand how deeply personal and complicated internal struggles can be. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I don’t just treat symptoms, I walk with you through your unique story, helping you build the skills, clarity, and confidence you need to move forward. In addition to my clinical background, I bring lived experience with major life transitions, and the heavy expectations society often places on us. I know what it feels like to question your footing, your future, or your sense of self. This gives me a unique ability to “get” the emotional layers of your struggle as a human being as well as a clinician. I work with individuals, as well as couples and families. Whether I’m working with an individual or a family system, my goal is the same: to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel understood and supported from the very first session and learn the skills you need to move through life’s challenges with confidence. I believe therapy should feel like an anchor, a place where you can stop for a while, exhale, explore your emotions honestly, and rediscover your strengths. If you’re ready to begin making sense of what you’re carrying, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, resilience, and hope. You don’t have to do this alone.

Get to Know Dina

Where did you work before going into private practice?

I have moved between the tech sector and therapy for my entire career of 20+ years. In tech I predominately focused on products and solutions being delivered in the financial industry and healthcare. So, I also bring to my practice a deep understanding of the world of work and high stress environments.

How participatory are you during sessions?

We create space for you to be heard. I will also partner with you each session by providing psychoeducation, skills training, and checking in on your progress since we last met.

How long should I commit to being in therapy, at least in the beginning?

Typically, it would be expected that most clients would be in therapy about 16 weeks. This is to accommodate: understanding why you are in therapy via intake, building trust, psychoeducation to learn more deeply about what's going on in your mind and body, skills training and practice, and discharge planning to build supports and go at it on your own! Some people may have more complex issues that require more time and that's ok as well!

Do you assign homework, activities, or readings for me to do between sessions? Why or why not?

In a busy week, its easy to forget about what was discussed in therapy until its almost time for session again. Given that, I do provide assignments in between sessions because this keeps you focused on moving forward and makes it more likely for skills we practice in session to "stick". We will decide together what those assignments look like so you are set up for success.
