Welcome to a space of healing and personal growth. As a dedicated therapist, I create a warm, judgment-free environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely. I recognize the unique complexity of each individual and tailor my approach to best suit your specific needs and goals. My practice is built on the profound understanding of the mind-body connection. I believe that true healing involves not just our thoughts, but also what we hold in our physical selves. Through this integrative lens, we'll work together to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and interpersonal conflicts, with a special focus on fostering self-compassion and personal growth. I specialize in guiding clients in their 20s and 30s through the complexities of early adulthood. Many of my clients struggle with people-pleasing tendencies, often putting others' needs before their own. Together, we'll explore the roots of these behaviors and develop strategies to establish healthy boundaries, improve self-esteem, and cultivate authentic relationships. In our collaborative sessions, we'll work on identifying effective coping strategies that honor both your mental and physical well-being. We'll develop techniques to recognize and address people-pleasing behaviors, improve communication skills, and explore the connection between your emotional experiences and physical sensations. Throughout our work together, you'll build resilience and self-assurance, empowering you to navigate life's challenges with confidence. P.S. I would suggest reflecting on these questions; What has been most distressing for you/what has prompted you to seek out a therapist? How much and in what ways has your daily life been affected? What do you want to gain from therapy/what would you like to be different for you? I know the first session can be nerve-racking for some clients especially those who have never been in therapy before but the first session is just me getting an idea of what you’re currently going through and getting to know you. I create a non judgmental space where I encourage you to share whatever comes up for you. If you’re a client that worries about not knowing what to say or having enough to talk about, don’t worry! I’ll be asking questions and guiding you.
Overall, my sessions tend to be interactive. I like to ask exploratory questions to help clients gain a better understanding of the feelings and thoughts they share each session. I provide feedback for clients and encourage them to share any feedback they may have. My sessions are more conversational with us working together to achieve your goals for therapy.
I usually don’t self-disclose because the sessions are about you, not me. However, I understand clients being curious about the person they’re sharing so much with so if you wanted to ask me a personal question I’m okay with answering most questions as long as it will be helpful for you and our therapeutic relationship. Sometimes, after I explore why clients are asking me a personal question and how my response might affect them, they decide they no longer want to know.
